Laura’s Community Workshop was founded on the idea of helping women help themselves. Since we started our work in 2007, we have provided help where the need is greatest, in the tiny community of Amacuzac, Morelos, Mexico. With the skills that our students gain, they no longer have to work long hours in the fields, harvesting crops. Instead, they can make beautiful jewelry and provide for their families by working only 48 hours a week.
Our team is made up entirely of volunteers. We advocate for those who need our help. Even a little help from you goes a long way.
